Traveling is our main source of inspiration and as a traveler you become curious and start having questions which makes you want to learn more about what, why & how.
This is what the journey of our shop is all about. Having the curiosity to question, learn and apply all of that in our own way and interpretation.
To create a space of openness that encourages people to coexist in the same place & let each celebrate their individual experiences and share it with the world through humble basic ingredients.​

Where it all started
Curiosity started the journey of baking that lead to the birth of
" While I'm Baked" where a humble home kitchen & the curios hands of our owner & head baker Ahmed Al-Refai took on the challenge to start baking & eventually selling from home.

2021
Chapter 1
July 13, 2021 we opened our first shop in Kuwait City. A pickup window with a couple of outdoor tables & the challenge to start a bagel shop.

2022
Chapter 2
October 11, 2022 we welcomed BAKED family to our second shop. A space for us to appreciate the amazing support we've been receiving since the beginning of our journey & to showcase that BAKED is more than just a bagel shop.
The Menu: Bagels, Sandwiches, Scones, Babkas, Bread Variety, Drinks, Weekend Bakes & BAKED night specials.
